Skype for Business communications tool

Skype for Business (also known as Lync on Mac) is a communications tool that makes it easy to communicate and collaborate in real-time via instant messaging, audio calls, video calls, Web conferencing and desktop sharing.

Skype for Business Features
  • Instant messaging – Touch base with contacts or groups instantly
  • Audio and video calls – Communicate seamlessly over audio and/or video with two or more people
  • Web conferencing – Schedule an online meeting, complete with screen sharing, virtual whiteboards and polls
  • Desktop sharing – Share your screen and files to instantly collaborate and edit documents
  • Skype Meetings – Schedule and invite others using your calendar. Schedule the Skype meeting in the same calendar invite to provide a link and the ability to record the meeting session
  • Presence – See real-time information for another user’s availability
  • Document sharing – Share documents easily via drag and drop directly into the message window
  • Conversation history – Catch up or review your instant message conversations, saved automatically
  • Web App – A browser-based version of Skype for Business that can be used to join a meeting if you do not have Skype for Business installed on your machine.
